Talent Manager

Our client is one of the largest defence companies in the world. Operating in a highly competitive market and complex sector, the acquisition, deployment, retention and development of talent is crucial to the success of the business and, with a global workforce of 100,000, there is a big ‘people agenda’.

The Head of Talent Management is looking for a Talent Manager to support the creation and implementation of a talent management strategy for the global business.

Key activities include:

  • Supporting the strategy development process 
  • Supporting the set up & on-going facilitation of Divisional and Business Unit talent forums
  • Supporting high potential development by working closely with the manager of high potential leadership programmes to ensure integrated development solutions
  • Supporting the Head of Talent in the specification & implementation of a new global talent management system
  • Supporting the succession planning and performance management processes, ensuring an integrated approach to talent management 
  • Helping to generate and get buy-in to talent metrics, gathering & analysing data,  preparing meeting packs, monitoring implementation of resulting actions, etc

 

Candidate Profile:

  • An innovative and proactive self-starter with experience of working within a large and culturally complex organisation
  • Broad experience of talent management - not soley gained in one specialised area and an awareness of best practice in talent management  
  • Strong project management, planning and implementation skills
  • A good understanding of succession planning and performance management processes
  • A grounded and practical individual who can interpret and explain sophisticated concepts and make them user friendly 
  • A logical individual with an analytical approach, who is comfortable with systems and data interpretation
